  • May 23rd, 2009 - Saturday
This is a free day for all of you to see and do what you please.  Some suggestions are Arlington Cemetery
for the changing of the guard and Kennedy's gave site, all the museums on the plaza, or any of the
    surrounding Washington area Harley-Davidson dealers.
  • May 24th, 2009 - Sunday
6:00 a.m. - We will all meet at the Radisson Inn and leave as a group with police escort to the Pentagon
parking lot.  It is a short 7 minute ride there and we will be some of the first to come out in the Rolling
Thunder parade.  Prepare for the 6 hours in the parking lot though.  There is food, refreshments and limited
vendors at the parking lot.  This is a Harley-Davidson pin stop so don't forget to get your pin.
12:00 p.m. - First bike out of the parking lot and we will be soon to follow to the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
From there you can visit many sites.  Take your time and explore.
  • May 25th, 2009 - Monday
7:30 a.m. - For anyone that would like to ride back to Statesville via the interstate, we will be police
escorted back by the Iredell Sheriff's Department leaving the Radisson Hotel.
  • Many people will sleep in and then ride their bikes to the Amtrak train station to be there by 2:00 PM. Train departs at 4:00 PM and arrives in Sanford, Florida the following morning at 9:30 AM.
  • Many others will be heading south on I-95 to their home destination.  Try to join up if you chose as there are safety in numbers.
  • Enjoy your time and ride at your own comfort level!
